About the role

We are looking for a senior React Native engineer to take ownership of our HeyDrop mobile application. This role focuses on technical quality, architecture, and long‑term maintainability of the product.

While we would ideally like to work with someone full‑time and long‑term, we are starting with a 3‑month contract due to the current stage of the project. Our intention is to extend the collaboration if the product and business direction continue as planned.

What you will do

You will build and maintain a production React Native application, making architectural decisions and owning mobile‑specific challenges end to end. You will work closely with the founding team on both product and technical decisions, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.

Mobile development is the main focus of this role, with opportunities to contribute to our web applications when needed.

Mobile requirements (primary focus)

  • Strong production experience with React Native
  • Excellent TypeScript skills
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL, ideally using Apollo Client
  • Practical experience with Redux in real-world applications
  • Experience working with UI and design system libraries
  • Solid understanding of mobile performance and debugging
  • Experience with native mobile features, including:
  • Native modules and bridges (iOS & Android)
  • Widgets
  • iOS-specific features such as Live Activities

Web experience (strong plus)

We value candidates who are also comfortable with:

  • React.js / Next.js
  • TypeScript on the web
  • GraphQL with Apollo Client
  • Material UI (MUI) or similar component libraries

This is a hybrid frontend role, with mobile as the clear priority.
